SOCKET SCREWS
ISO 4029 Cup Point Socket Set Screws
Headless socket set screws with cup point for positioning and retention in mechanical assemblies.

Product Overview
A recessed cup-shaped end creates an annular contact region that bites into a suitable mating surface. This configuration is commonly considered for holding collars and hubs where localized marking is acceptable. Holding behavior depends on the mating material, point condition and joint arrangement, rather than on the screw designation alone.
State the thread size, overall length, point detail and mating material in the enquiry. Hardness class, thread fit and the permitted setting torque must be selected for the application. Supplier confirmation is required for the requested material and size.

Size Range / Technical Notes
- Size Range
- Specify thread diameter, total length and point geometry. Exact size and material combinations require confirmation.
- Technical Notes
- Legacy DIN 916 corresponds to this product family; use the ordered ISO edition and verify dimensions instead of assuming universal interchangeability. Set screws are not intended for tensile loading. Assess shaft damage and holding requirements. A cup point does not establish a guaranteed holding torque or vibration resistance.
